Devin Wilson has FBS and hoops offers

MONACA, Pa. -- Three-star recruit Devin Wilson (McKees Rocks, Pa./Montour) has four offers each for basketball and football, and he showed why with his performance against one of Western Pennsylvania's best teams -- and best players -- this past weekend.

The 6-foot-2, 178-pound receiver Wilson played primarily out of the backfield and racked up solid numbers on the ground. When he was out wide lined up against ESPN 150 receiver/safety Robert Foster, his ball skills and ability to go up and get the ball looked like a player going up for a rebound on the hardwood.

"It's always fun when you play someone who's top 30 in the state and a good player in general," Wilson said. "As soon as you get one on him, he's going to get one back on you.

"He's a competitor just like me."

So what will Wilson play at the next level?

"I want to play just one [sport] in college," he said, "but I still haven't chosen what sport to play yet."

Akron, N.C. State, Ohio and Temple have offered for football, and he visited Temple this past weekend for its game (along with Drexel and Rider for basketball). They were all unofficial visits.

Wilson plans to take more visits, but his trip to Temple is not any indication of where the Owls stand in his recruitment, although the Owls do have commitments from Montour teammates Matt Barone and Tyler Haddock.

"Not as of now," Wilson said about favorites. "I haven't been able to get to see them because of the busy (AAU) basketball schedule, but during this football season I hope to see every one."

Michigan State, Penn State and Pittsburgh are all interested, Wilson said.
