Defensive tackle Sean Spencer (Newnan, Ga./Northgate) made an official visit to Annapolis, Md. over the weekend and left committed to the Midshipmen, according to multiple sources.
The 6-foot-4, 255-pound three-star talent was previously committed to Vanderbilt. He selected the Commodores in June.
Spencer claims additional scholarship offers from Air Force, Army, Cincinnati, Indiana, LSU, Mississippi State, North Carolina, Ole Miss, South Carolina, South Florida, Syracuse, Central Florida and Wake Forest.
ESPN calls Spencer, "a physical and tough kid who shows flashes of being a stout run defender and active interior pass rusher, but must first add more size and develop the little things in his game."
He's the eighth public commitment and top-rated recruit in Navy's 2013 class.
