ASU scores juco Damarious Randall

Mesa Community College cornerback Damarious Randall committed Tuesday to play in the Pac-12 for Arizona State, multiple sources report.

Alabama State, Florida Atlantic, Louisiana-Lafayette, Minnesota, San Diego State, South Alabama, Utah State and Western Michigan also extended scholarship offers to the 5-foot-11, 185-pound prospect.

Randall was named the NJCAA National Defensive Player of the week earlier this fall after intercepting three passes and scoring two touchdowns (interception return, punt return) in a 43-0 victory over Pima.

Through nine games this season, he's registered 59 total tackles, 3 tackles for loss, 7 interceptions, 1 forced fumble and 1 fumble recovery.

Randall, originally from Pensacola, Fla., is pledge No. 18 for Arizona State and is the second junior college player to select the Sun Devils during this recruiting cycle.
