East Mississippi Community College (Scooba, Miss.) safety Justin Cox is set to continue his career at Mississippi State after committing to the Bulldogs. multiple sources report.
The 6-foot-2, 190-pound Cox also picked up scholarship offers from Alabama, Arkansas, Georgia, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma State, Ole Miss and Texas Tech. LSU was one of the other programs showing interest.
Cox originally signed with Mississippi State in 2011 as a high two-star prospect out of West Point (Miss.) High School. At that time, ESPN called him, "a sleek and athletic dual-threat quarterback prospect who will likely make the move to corner or slot at the next level... has some question marks and will likely need some time to develop both physically and fundamentally before making a significant contribution -- but the natural talent and ability is there to coach."
Mississippi State now has 20 pledges for 2013.
