Coaches have been circling around Jermaine Eluemunor (Rockaway, N.J./Lackwanna College) for a while now.
The 6-foot-5, 300-pound juco offensive tackle does have questions about his eligibility, but Florida State became the first to go ahead and extend an offer regardless.
"When I was on the phone with Coach Trickett, he said that he was offering me. I am going to talk to my coach tomorrow just to make sure."
Eluemunor, who also referenced Akron and Wisconsin as the other schools that are most interested, said other parties are just waiting until his eligibility becomes a little more clear before jumping in.
"I have a lot of interest, but I am waiting for all my paperwork for the clearing house to go through," he said. "Once all that gets through, and I see that I am cleared, which I think I will, then the coaches are going to start recruiting me more. I sent my paperwork in today, so I'll find out sometime next week."
Florida State's early action doesn't go without reward. The big offensive tackle says the Seminoles are now out in front.
"Yeah, as of now, but once my eligibility comes through and if it turns out I am, I will go for my visit to FSU and then probably Wisconsin," Eluemunor said. "But yeah, FSU is in front right now."
