LB Jumper hoping for Arkansas State offer

Colton Jumper's visit to Arkansas State didn't produce the result he was a looking for -- yet.

The linebacker from Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor hoped to pick up a scholarship offer from the Red Wolves during his trip to Jonesboro, Ark. It didn't happen over the weekend but could still be on its way.

"It was good," the 6-foot-2, 220-pound prospect said of the visit. "They are going to get back to me on where they stand."

With two games remaining, Arkansas State is 7-3 under first-year coach Gus Malzahn.

"Really nice," Jumper said of the facilities, "and I think their football program is going in the right direction."

Jumper picked up a scholarship offer from Air Force last week. He also has five scholarship offers from smaller schools.
