Dawgs are still after OT Christian Morris

Georgia continues to make a push for offensive tackle Christian Morris. One of its rivals might do so as well.

The three-star prospect from Memphis (Tenn.) East, who remains pledged to UCLA, said he would consider Tennessee after it made its next coaching hire. When asked, Morris said he noticed the previous coaching staff under third-year head coach Derek Dooley didn't place as much of an emphasis on in-state recruiting, especially in Memphis.

"Sort of because they were not making it that important," Morris said.

Tennessee has only one commitment from the Memphis area. Defensive end Jason Carr from Memphis (Tenn.) White Station committed to Tennessee in January. Carr repeatedly has said he is considering other schools.

Georgia seems to have a good opportunity to swoop in on Morris. Despite committing to UCLA in July and proclaiming a desire to play on the West Coast, Morris has said he's interested in Oklahoma, Nebraska and now Georgia.

"They're a great, elite school," he said when asked about the Bulldogs.

Morris said he's unsure if the Bulldogs have definitely offered him a scholarship, but the coaching staff has shown him high interest.
