Versatile senior Jordan Preator (Ogden, Utah/Fremont) committed Monday night to play for Brigham Young, the Deseret News reports. Preator was recruited by BYU secondary / special teams coach Nick Howell. He expects to play safety for the Cougars.
Preator has a grayshirt offer from BYU and plans to go on scholarship in 2014. The 5-foot-11, 180-pound prospect also received a scholarship offer from Hawaii. Programs such as Utah and Utah State showed interest.
“BYU offers you so much in every area including a great football program,” he said. “When thinking about everything that is important to me in my life BYU is the school that offers me the best chance to achieve everything that is important to me. It has a great environment socially and it will be an opportunity to gain a great education. I couldn’t be more happy about my decision."
The Cougars have 27 players on board for 2013.
