Andrew Albers (Costa Mesa, Calif./Orange Coast) is ready for his second stint with the Utah Utes, according to a report in the Daily Pilot.
His father Frank posted on Facebook, "So very happy and proud to report that my son Andrew Albers has accepted a scholarship and has committed to play football for the University of Utah Utes. I can't wait to be at Rice-Eccles Stadium for the first home game next year."
Andrew originally attended Utah in the spring of 2011 as a preferred walk-on out of Costa Mesa (Calif.) High School. He left the school that July, eventually ending up at Orange Cost Community College (Costa Mesa, Calif.).
During this recruiting cycle, Fresno State and Memphis also extended scholarship offers to the 6-foot-7, 295-pound offensive tackle. He has three years to play two seasons with the Utes.
Kyle Whittingham's squad is slated to bring in seven junior college players for 2013.
