Urban Meyer’s philosophy has always been that the more defensive linemen the better.
That’s why it wasn't shocking when defensive tackle Elisha Shaw (Tucker, Ga./Tucker) picked up an offer from the Buckeyes late Wednesday night.
The impact of Ohio State’s offer did not go unnoticed as Shaw went to Twitter to say the Buckeyes’ interest made his day.
The ESPN Watch List junior is no stranger to offers as Alabama, Florida State and Georgia have already put in for the 6-foot-5, 292-pound defensive tackle.
Auburn, Clemson, Florida and Georgia Tech are also showing interest in the junior.
Shaw led the Tigers to a 10-3 mark this season before losing to Northside in the Class AAAA quarterfinals. He was the focal point of a defense that pitched three shutouts this season and held opponents to 12 points per game.
