LeShun Daniels makes the switch

Three-star running back LeShun Daniels (Warren, Ohio/Harding) flipped his commitment Friday from Boston College to Iowa, multiple sources report.

Daniels made an official visit to Chestnut Hill, Mass. on Sept. 28th. Since then, Boston College fired Frank Spaziani and hired Steve Addazio from Temple. He officially visited Iowa last weekend.

Akron and Bowling Green also extended scholarship offers to the 5-foot-11, 217-pound ball-carrier. Other programs such as Illinois, Louisville, Penn State and West Virginia expressed interest.

ESPN says of Daniels in his scouting report, "is a strong downhill runner physically ready to make the college jump. Looks the part now of a BCS back... still needs to work on polishing his run, pass receiving and blocking skills but we like his upside as an every-down, workhorse type back at the or a change-of-pace power guy who can get the tough yards and grind the clock when needed."

At this time, he is the only running back in the Hawkeyes' Class of 2013.
