Senior Jake Schlager (McCook, Neb./McCook), who was born in Denver, has committed to return home and play for Colorado State, the Reporter Herald reports.
"It just had the right fit," he said. "The way that I was able to mesh in with CSU and the way it felt for me, it was just right. I just feel like I can make some big plays. Where ever they need me, I'll be able to fill in at."
Schlager, a 6-foot, 195-pound safety, was an all-state selection this fall after registering 166 tackles and causing four turnovers.
According to Rivals.com, Schlager also received scholarship offers from North Dakota State, South Dakota, South Dakota State and Southeast Missouri State. In-state power Nebraska showed interest but did not offer.
Colorado State now has 17 commitments/signings in its Class of 2013.
