UMass wins battle for Peter Angeh

Highly-offered senior defensive end Peter Angeh (Potomac, Md./Bullis School) has committed to sign with the UMass Minutemen, according to multiple sources. He chose Massachusetts over Ohio.

Angeh also announced his decision on Twitter, "A long time coming! Taking my talents to Amherst! #UMass #D1Bound #Willows"

According to Rivals.com, Cincinnati, Coastal Carolina, Colgate, Fordham, Holy Cross, James Madison, Lehigh, Richmond, Temple and Western Michigan also offered the 6-foot-2, 238-pound prospect.

Angeh stood out on the Nike Combine circuit this spring, posting an electronically-timed 5.07 40-yard dash, 5.03 20-yard dash, 30.6-inch vertical and 83.97 SPARQ.

He is commitment No. 18 for the Minutemen.
