When Quincy Adeboyejo (Cedar Hill, Texas/Cedar Hill) decommitted from Texas A&M on Jan. 6, he had six offers. Nine days later, the three-star wide receiver has more than doubled his offer count.
Adeboyejo is now at 13 offers after picking up two on Tuesday. Iowa State extended an offer Tuesday morning, and Auburn followed with an offer later in the day.
Since decommitting, Adeboyejo pulled offers from Texas Tech, Nebraska, UCLA, Ole Miss and West Virginia before Iowa State and Auburn.
“It’s been overwhelming having all these people calling me,” Adeboyejo said, “but it’s a blessing to be a wanted guy.
“Iowa State was at the school today. My best friend [three-star receiver Brandon Harris] is going there, and I know he likes it a lot. With Auburn, I’m going to have to look into it and talk it over with my parents. I can only take so many visits.”
Adeboyejo, a 6-foot-2, 180-pound receiver, has four of his five official visits set. He visited Nebraska last week, will take in Texas Tech Friday and Saturday and TCU on Sunday. He will visit Ole Miss the weekend of Jan. 25.
The final visit, Adeboyejo said, most likely will come down to UCLA or Auburn, but he’s open to a wild card coming in.
