There are not many running backs nationally who wouldn’t take Jamauri Bogan’s (Union, N.J./Union) down year. Over the course of the season, Bogan tallied 1,200 rushing yards and 17 touchdowns and became the school’s leading rusher as a junior.
It wasn’t enough for Bogan, though. As a freshman, he rushed for 2,200 yards.
“It wasn’t the season I intended,” Bogan said. “Running wasn’t at the forefront [of the offense] ... and I got hurt and messed my ankle up. As a fast guy, when you lose your ankle that’s big.”
