Two-star outside linebacker Lyn Clark (New Orleans/O.P. Walker), a one-time Tulane verbal, is now set to join the Cardinals, according to multiple sources.
Last month, when he decommitted from the Green Wave, Clark told the Times-Picayune, “I have worked real hard for three years for this. I wanted to take other visits because that was my plan. I have been planning on taking some visits for some time. I want to visit Louisville and La Tech and it was something the coaches and I didn’t agree on.”
Clark had visited with Tulane on Jan. 18th and eventually traveled to Louisville Tech on Jan. 25th and Louisville this past weekend. Colorado, Louisiana-Monroe, Marshall, Memphis, Purdue, Central Florida and Utah also offered the 6-foot-2, 218-pound senior.
ESPN writes in his evaluation, "This guy is a productive edge rusher; displays the up-field quickness needed to beat the offensive tackle to the set point and squeeze the pocket. Although we like his quick hands and arm under move, there is the need to develop a repertoire of moves. Clark will need some time and perhaps a red shirt year prior to challenging for starting time at the next level."
Including mid-year additions, the Cardinals have 17 players in their 2013 class.
