Virginia Tech landed a commitment Wednesday from 2014 safety Terrell Edmunds (Ringgold, Va./Dan River), multiple sources report. Hokies offensive coordinator/tight ends coach Bryan Stinespring served as his primary recruiter.
According to Rivals.com, the 6-foot-1, 180-pound prospect selected VT over scholarship offers from Cincinnati and Hampton, while other schools including Maryland and NC State showed interest.
He is the younger brother of Virginia Tech running back Trey Edmunds, who signed in 2012, and the son of former NFL tight end and current Dan River head coach Ferrell Edmunds.
Terrell, a second team all-state selection last fall, is commitment No. 7 for the Hokies during this recruiting cycle.
