Appalachian State reloads

Football Championship Subdivision power Appalachian State has signed another FCS-caliber recruiting class highlighted by four three-star prospects.

Running back Tysean Holloway (Asheville, N.C.) picked the Mountaineers over scholarship offers from Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Duke, Kansas State and Western Carolina. He enrolled early.

Defensive tackle Darian Small (Hampton, Ga./Dutchtown) also had FCS opportunities from Marshall and Middle Tennessee.

Two more three-stars, athlete Dante Blackmon (Covington, Ga./Eastside) and guard Jamie Collmar (Gastonia, N.C./Forestview), signed with the Mountaineers after being committed to FCS programs. Blackmon was set for Indiana and Collmar was on board with Florida International at one point.

Linebackers John Law (Atlanta/Grady) and tight end Barrett Burns (Woodstock, Ga./Etowah) received high two-star grades from ESPNU. Additionally, running back Quartterrio Morgan has transferred from Western Kentucky. He was a 2011 three-star who originally committed to Georgia Tech out of Mount Zion (Statesboro, Ga.).
