Jack Jones talks Tennessee verbal

Class of 2015 offensive lineman Jack Jones (Murfreesboro, Tenn./Oakland) committed to the Volunteers earlier this month. He spoke with the Tennessean about his decision:

"It was hard not to commit on the spot [when UT offered]. But I wanted my family, my coaches and the people close to me to talk to. I wanted to think about it, and pray to God."

"My dream is to run out of the T," Jones added. "That dream is starting to come true."

Georgia Tech and Middle Tennessee also extended early scholarship offers to the 6-foot-5, 270-pound prospect. Kentucky showed interest.

Volunteers secondary coach Willie Martinez served as Jones' primary recruiter.

Two other in-state prospects, defensive tackle Zach Stewart (Coalfield, Tenn./Coalfield) and athlete Jaylond Woods (Lenoir City, Tenn./Lenoir City), committed to the Volunteers' 2015 class in April.
