Gray displayed impressive athleticism this spring on the Nike Combine circuit, including an electronically timed 4.66 40-yard dash, 4.69 20-yard shuttle, 32.1-inch vertical, 37-foot power throw and 85.23 SPARQ. He is a 6-foot-2, 197-pound quarterback who could land at another spot in Coral Gables. "The U" has 16 players on board for this recruiting cycle.
Perry is a Class of 2015 prospect and the first rising junior to give the Hurricanes a commitment. He attended a Nike Football Training Camp this offseason and measured in at 6-foot-1, 203 pounds.
The commitments from Gray and Perry came a day after Miami secured four pledges. That group was headlined by high three-star safety Darrion Owens (Orange Park, Fla./Oakleaf).
