Colton Jumper landing on BCS radars

Recent college interest has Colton Jumper thinking about BCS-level schools.

The linebacker from Chattanooga (Tenn.) Baylor has been in contact with several schools recently. He's seen interest from Vanderbilt, shared Facebook messages with Georgia Tech coaches, talked to Wake Forest coaches last week and has also been shown interest by Tulane.

Getting his senior-season highlights could be key. Jumper has 91 tackles, two interceptions, over five sacks and more than tackles for a loss this season.

"I think I'm playing really well," Jumper said. "The team is playing well as a whole. I've learned a lot from last year and you can tell if you watch my game film compared to last year. It's very different. Different stance. Different way that I play. I think I'm playing very well."

Jumper has long held scholarship offers from Furman, Wofford, Lehigh and Chattanooga. Still, he's hoping for a scholarship offer from a more prominent football school.

"I would weigh [a BCS offer] differently because once I get that one I feel like more are going to fall in line," he said. "I'm just kind of waiting on that one offer right now. Hopefully that will come soon."

Jumper has visited Alabama, Vanderbilt, Wofford, Furman and Chattanooga.
