The University of Tennessee offered three-star wide receiver prospect Quinshad Davis (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) Wednesday morning.
Shockingly, Davis lacks the major scholarship offers. Local teams, South Carolina and Clemson offered him early in the process but when he didn’t make a decision, the Tigers and Gamecocks moved on and committed other receivers. Aside from the Vols, Wake Forest is one team that continues to recruit him very, very hard. In fact, they came by Gaffney Tuesday. Another possibility is Georgia, but the Dawgs have not offered to date either.
Davis is having an incredible senior season. In 14 games he has exactly 100 receptions for 1,8235 yards and 24 touchdown receptions.
“I don’t get it,” said Dan Jones, Gaffney’s coach. “He’s a great player having a great year. Maybe the playoff run will help him with some more offers.”
Gaffney plays Duncan (S.C.) Byrnes is the state championship game on Saturday at 3 p.m. ET at Clemson.
Davis is the No. 67 ranked receiver in the nation and the No. 20 rated recruit from the state of South Carolina.
