Patrick Dalton is getting to know the ACC well.
After taking a summer visit to Clemson and another to the school this fall, the offensive lineman from Knoxville (Tenn.) Catholic will head back to see the Tigers again this weekend, when they host North Carolina State. Dalton has also visited Virginia Tech and Wake Forest this fall.
Green visited Wake Forest on Nov. 3, seeing the Demon Deacons beat Boston College.
"The stadium was nice and the fan base was really good," Dalton said.
The Hokies were also impressive. Dalton was on hand to see Tech beat Duke 41-20 on Oct. 13.
"It was really nice and I like the coaches," the 6-foot-5, 308-pound junior said when asked what stood out about the visit.
Given his frequency of trips to Clemson, it's natural to think the Tigers have a slight lead for the 2014 prospect. Dalton is still waiting for his first scholarship offer. He'd love for it to come from the Tigers. A visit with offensive line coach Robbie Caldwell has Dalton optimistic that an offer could come.
"Coach Caldwell talked to me after for like 15 minutes about how he would love to coach me and have me at Clemson," Dalton said, referring to the conversation which occurred this summer.
Dalton said he has also started to receiver letters from nearby Tennessee.
