Bowling Green received verbal commitments from two Orlando-area prospects Monday when running backs Eric Harrell (Orlando, Fla./Dr. Phillips) and Brandon English (Orlando, Fla./Evans) chose the MAC program.
Harrell (5-8, 190) said he chose Bowling Green over Florida International and will take an official to the school on Dec. 7
“I liked dealing with coach [John] Hunter,” said Harrell. “It’s a good program and my mom liked the academics there so it was the right decision.
“They play a nice spread offense and it’s a good fit for running backs that can run and catch like myself.”
As of Oct. 25 Harrell had 913 rushing yards on 135 carries, according to the Orlando Sentinel website.
English chose Bowling Green over offers from UCF, Temple, Middle Tennessee and UMass. Through Oct. 25 English had rushed for 489 yards on 99 carries according to the Sentinel.
