Southern Miss might be looking for a new head coach, but the Eagles got some good news this week with the commitment of running back Tevin Austin (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stephenson).
According to his coach, Austin committed to Jeep Hunter and Steve Buckley on Wednesday while they visited him at his school. The 5-foot-10, 175-pound tailback averaged almost 6 yards per carry while splitting carries with several other backs in a loaded backfield. He also plays some linebacker for 9-2 Stephenson.
Austin is commitment No. 15 for the Golden Eagles and its first from a running back in the 2013 class.
