ESPN 150 wide receiver Jordan Cunningham (Davie, Fla./University School) is likely finished with official visits until after the Under Armour All-America Game.
And when the 6-foot-2, 180-pound senior hits the road again, there will be two Southeast programs happy to see him.
“I’m likely going to go to Florida State and Alabama for my next two officials,” Cunningham said. “I don’t think I’m going to take any more officials until the new year, though.”
Cunningham, who had 12 catches for 178 yards and a touchdown Friday against Clearwater Central Catholic, is focused on University School’s upcoming Class 3A state championship game.
“First things first for me, and that’s winning a state title,” Cunningham added. “It was tough losing as a sophomore and I want to make sure I don’t feel like that again.”
Cunningham has taken official visits to Stanford and Oklahoma State so far. Although he says that he’s still open, the belief is that Stanford is the favorite. Cunningham isn’t denying it.
“I think Stanford provides a lot of special opportunities and it’s the best of both worlds academically and athletically,” Cunningham added. “It would be hard to turn them down.”
Cunningham will make his final decision on the week of national signing day.
