Two more juco prospects at Itawamba

Fulton (Miss.) Itawamba coach Jon Williams fully expects to see two more of his junior college prospects sign with four-year colleges.

DeMarius Howard seems the most likely. Williams said he believes Middle Tennessee State is close to offering the 5-foot-11, 195-pound receiver a scholarship.

"Playmaker," Williams said of Howard. "Smaller guy with a lot of straight-line speed and shake. Sure-handed, dependable player and awesome character."

Williams can't understand why another one of his players doesn't have a scholarship offer. He called linebacker Quad Freeman a steal.

"High motor, great tackler, good size and speed ... really no downside," Williams said of the 6-2, 200-pound prospect. "Loves to practice."

Williams already had two prospects commit to West Virginia: receiver Ronald Carswell and safety Terrell Pinson.
