Eligwe could visit two Pac-12 schools

Florida State may not be the only visit for four-star linebacker prospect Ukeme Eligwe (Stone Mountain, Ga./Stone Mountain). He’s scheduled to visit the Seminoles this weekend but this ESPNU 150 member may take two trips out west before signing day.

“He was mentioning something about visiting Cal yesterday,” Stone Mountain coach Dante Ferguson said. “He may also visit Oregon. I know he will visit FSU this weekend and he’s just trying to set up those others. I know he would like to check out some other schools and take some trips.”

Eligwe, 6-foot-2 and 208-pounds, made an official visit to the University of Georgia last month. He’s the nation’s No. 3-ranked inside linebacker and the No. 10-ranked recruit from the state of Georgia.

Ferguson says that whoever ultimately signs his star linebacker is getting a great player on the field and a super person off of it.

“I have never had any issues with that kid,” Ferguson said. “Not one. He’s a great worker, intelligent and a team player. Through all of this recruiting stuff he’s put his team first. He’s remained humble. He has great parents that keep him grounded. As a linebacker he brings speed, tenacity and agility. He reads and reacts and gets to the ball. This kid is a great tackler. He also played the ‘Wildcat’ position for us and rushed for over 400 yards and passed for over 600. To see him grow from the eighth grade to now has been amazing.”

As a junior Eligwe recorded 121 tackles. This past season he had 90 tackles, two interceptions and three forced fumbles.
