Ricardo Louis talks official visits to FSU, UGA

ESPNU 150 athlete Ricardo Louis (Miami, Fla./Miami Beach) was a surprise guest on Florida State's official visit list this past weekend and the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Auburn commit says he is opening things up a little.

"I wanted to wait until after the season because things were real busy this year, but I have a couple of schools I want to look at," Louis said. "I'm still committed to Auburn right now but I am looking around."

The first place Louis looked was Tallahassee, where he arrived Saturday and stayed until Monday and met with the Seminoles coaching staff.

"I had a real good time at Florida State and it was a great opportunity to really check out the program," Louis said. "I really liked what they are doing there; to be honest I could see myself playing there."

Louis will take an official visit to Georgia next weekend, and that is the only other official visit he has planned.

"Georgia is another program that I've been looking at and they have been recruiting me much like Florida State," he said. "So I'm looking forward to checking out the program and seeing what it's like there."

Louis said he met with Auburn head coach Gene Chizik on Monday.

"He came and talked with me and my father," Louis said. "It was a good conversation. He talked about how much the program wants me to be part of their family."

Louis said his final decision will be made on signing day.
