Little to choose between Big Ten schools

Lakewood (St. Petersburg, Fla.) defensive back Jevaris Little has been a rising prospect through the last six weeks.

The 6-foot, 180-pound senior has offers from Kansas, Toledo, Ball State and Bowling Green but has trimmed his list down to two programs.

"I'm down to Indiana and Illinois," Little said. "I will take my official to Illinois this weekend and try to have a final decision on Monday or Tuesday."

Little has taken visits to Toledo, Georgia State and most recently Indiana.

"I was very impressed with Indiana," Little said. "I was impressed with their coaching staff and the players they are bringing in. Coach [Kevin] Wilson is one of those coaches that will stick with you in the good times and the hard times.

"I had the opportunity to meet with some of the academic advisers and discuss my plans to major in criminal justice. They definitely stress academics and that's very important to me."

Little is eager to take a look at Illinois.

"Right now I love Indiana but I want to check out Illinois to see how they compare," Little said. "I know they are a program looking for playmakers and they also have a good support system with academics."
