Flint makes commitment

Michael Flint (Oxford, Ala./Oxford) came home from his visit from Arkansas State and was still uncommitted. Then, he decided to make it official and give his pledge to new Red Wolves head coach Gus Malzahn.

"I was going to wait," Flint said. "But coach thought it would be good to help their recruiting, so I agreed to do it."

Flint, 6-foot-3 and 305 pounds, was scheduled to make his decision with four-star teammates Kwon Alexander and Trae Elston.

Flint cited earlier that he loved the family atmosphere and the direction of the program under Malzahn as to reasons why he loved his official visit there this past weekend.

Flint is the nation's No. 16 offensive guard and the No. 14-ranked recruit from the state of Alabama.
