Wide receiver Quinshad Davis (Gaffney, S.C./Gaffney) is going to keep everyone in the dark until high noon on Wednesday, national signing day. That is the time when he will make his decision among Wake Forest, North Carolina and Tennessee. The Vols got his last official visit this past weekend.
“That visit was the same as the others according to Quinshad,” said Dan Jones, his coach at Gaffney. “He said he really enjoyed it and had a great time. As far as I know it will be one of those three schools. No one knows what he will do including me.”
Davis, 6-foot-2 and 195 pounds, visited North Carolina and Wake Forest earlier this month. Going into January the Demon Deacons were the team to beat. Larry Fedora and the Tar Heels offered, and it has been rumored that they have made a big move for Davis. This one will be very interesting.
Davis is the No. 51 ranked receiver in the nation and the No. 13 rated recruit from the state of South Carolina. Davis had a great senior season, catching 108 passes for more than 2,000 yards and 24 touchdowns.
