WR to visit Mississippi State this weekend

Earnest Robinson (Pinson, Ala./Pinson Valley) will potentially be one of the most sought after wide receiver prospects from the South in the Class of 2013. Robinson already has scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Tennessee, Mississippi State and UAB.

“Earnest will go to Mississippi State this weekend for their junior day,” said Matt Glover, Pinson Valley’s coach. “He has been to both Auburn and Alabama and the Tigers are trying to get him back to another. They are recruiting him the hardest and coach [Tommy] Thigpen calls me about twice a week regarding Robinson.”

According to Glover teams like Florida State, LSU, Purdue, Missouri and Texas A&M are also showing interest but have yet to offer. In fact, FSU and LSU are trying to get Robinson to Tallahassee and Baton Rouge respectively for upcoming junior days.

Robinson, 6-foot-2 and 200-pounds, missed a few games his junior season because of an ankle sprain. He still caught 42 passes for 727 yards and 12 touchdowns.
