FSU gets commitment from Miami DB

Booker T. Washington (Miami, Fla.) defensive back Michael Johnson gave a verbal commitment to Florida State this morning.

The 5-foot-10, 170-pound junior is the Seminoles' fifth commit in the Class of 2013.

Johnson was offered by FSU over the weekend along with teammates Denver Kirkland and Matthew Thomas.

Johnson recorded 78 tackles, five interceptions and a defensive touchdown last season for the Tornadoes. While FSU was his only offer Johnson said that Miami, Florida and Wisconsin were among the schools talking to him.

He is expected to be in attendance for FSU's junior day on February 25.
