But the 6-foot, 180-pound senior hasn't made that call yet and was in Tampa over the weekend visiting South Florida for its junior day.
"I'm not in a rush right now," Davis said. "I'm here at USF [Sunday] and I really like what I see here.
"This program has a little more than I expected."
Davis could see South Florida as a good fit given the Bulls are looking for explosive players on offense in this class.
"They see what I can do at the wide receiver position and in the return game so we talked about that a little," Davis said. "They are definitely looking for guys that can make something happen with the ball in their hands."
Davis is expected to attend Florida's junior day next with with Hearns and ESPNU Watch List teammate Taj Williams. Whether he commits next week or continues to look remains to be seen.
"We'll see what happens because it's kind of early right now," Davis said. "If I feel like any situation is the perfect situation I'll make that decision but right now I'm happy to check out everything.
Davis claims over 15 offers including Miami, Alabama, Auburn, Oregon, Georgia, Kentucky and Tennessee.
