Ohio State and Tennessee offer Lewis Neal

Two traditional powers have entered the race for Lewis Neal.

Ohio State and Tennessee offered the defensive end from Wilson (N.C.) James B. Hunt a scholarship.

Tennessee seems to be following up on a recent goal of recruiting North Carolina more aggressively.

Head coach Derek Dooley said his program should have done a better job recruiting the area since he was hired in January 2010.

Since, the Vols hired Sam Pittman from the University of North Carolina in January. Pittman has strong ties to the Carolinas and is recruiting Neal.

"I'm really excited about it and my visits are going to determine a lot," Neal said in a text message to ESPN.
