Auburn landed its second commitment of the day after Kamryn Melton (Dothan, Ala.) pulled the trigger and picked the Tigers. He’s coming off a junior day visit to Auburn and told ESPN he would likely wait, talk things over with his family and make his decision later this week. But that changed quickly.
“I just thought about it and wanted to do it,” Melton said. “I just really like the coaching staff. I also talked with some of the players that are going there with me and we want to make a new, great era at Auburn. So many good players are headed their way. Plus, there’s a great opportunity for me to play because they need cornerbacks.”
Melton, 5-foot-10 and 170-pounds, is a cornerback prospect. He joins wide receiver Earnest Robinson (Pinson Valley, Ala.) as Tiger commitments today. In all, Auburn has five commitments for their class of 2013.
