Brian Walker doesn't know much about Ole Miss but he'll learn more soon.
The ESPNU 150 Watch List prospect from Charlotte (N.C.) Mallard Creek will visit the Oxford campus in April after receiving a scholarship offer from the Rebels on Tuesday.
“Looking at all my options,” the 5-foot-10, 175-pound junior said via text message to ESPN when asked of the pending visit.
When inquired about what he knew about the SEC school, Walker stated, “Not a whole lot, but a visit there will be good.”
Walker also has scholarship offers from Wake Forest, Virginia, Auburn, Minnesota, North Carolina, North Carolina State, South Carolina and Tennessee.
It will be intriguing to see if Florida offers Walker a scholarship. The Gators did well in landing 2012 prospects from North Carolina, including Walker's former teammate: ESPNU 150 offensive tackle D.J. Humphries. Florida should have a strong connection with the talent-laden school and, subsequently, Walker.
