McArthur (Hollywood, Fla.) linebacker Jeremy Benjamin visited Florida State for its junior day event and the 6-foot-1, 209-pound junior admits he fell in love with the school during his visit.
"It was such a nice place and everyone was very friendly there," Benjamin said. "I had a chance to talk with Coach [Eddie] Gran and really build a good relationship with him."
Benjamin also had the opportunity to talk with FSU head coach Jimbo Fisher and members of the Seminoles staff will be visiting with him again in the spring.
"I'm hoping that I can impress the coaches enough to get an offer," Benjamin said. "That's really what I'm looking for."
Benjamin currently holds offers from Illinois, SMU, West Virginia and most recently Navy. The linebacker said West Virginia has been the most aggressive thus far and he plans on taking a trip to visit the campus soon.
"They invited me to the spring game and I'm going to try to get up there," Benjamin said. "They are moving into the Big XII and they are going to be looking for some bigger players on defense."
Benjamin said he's being recruited as an outside linebacker or a linebacker/safety hybrid. He will be participating in the Elite Scouting Services combine next weekend in Fort Lauderdale.
