MEMPHIS -- Three more suitors are beginning to court Bobby Billingsley.
Georgia Tech, Cincinnatti and North Carolina State have begun recruiting the interior offensive lineman from Memphis East. While Billingsley still has plenty to learn about each school, he does have a working knowledge from afar.
Georgia Tech: “I know they've got good tradition and a good program. They've got an option offense. I like that. It gives me a chance to get downfield. That's what I feel like I'm good at, getting downfield and getting to the linebackers, going to that next level.”
N.C. State: “They have the good facilities and a good coaching staff. I talked to the coaching staff a little bit. I have to get up there this summer.”
Cincinnatti: “They've got a good recruiting coach. The coach that is recruiting me is (tight ends) coach (Mark) Elder. He's a good guy. I talk to him a lot. He tells me a lot about the school and they have good academics up there.”
The three schools have offered Billingsley a scholarship yet but that could be coming. Billingsley already has scholarship offers from Ole Miss, Illinios, Memphis and Arkansas State.
Billingsley said he plans to visit Alabama for its spring game next month.
Billingsley has played guard in high school but is expected to play much more at center this season. He'll likely play that position in college.
