Eason Fromayan lands first offer

Offensive lineman Eason Fromayan (Alpharetta, Ga./Milton) received his first scholarship offer last week.

“Syracuse offered me last Thursday night,” Fromayan said. “[Former teammate] Josh Manley is there. I remember I saw Syracuse play USC last year. My dad played in the Carrier Dome for a hoops tournament when he was younger. I also know they have great academics and education will be big in my decision. That’s what I have seen and know about Syracuse.”

According to Fromayan he is also hearing from teams like Kentucky, Louisville, Georgia Tech, North Carolina, Auburn, Duke and Wake Forest.

“I was just in Kentucky last week,” Fromayan said. “I was at Georgia Tech and Louisville for junior days in March.

“I would like to see who offers and make a decision sometime this summer. I plan on going to camp at Kentucky and I will probably go to Georgia Tech and Louisville as well. Right now I am open but you have to put Syracuse up there because they have offered.”

Fromayan, 6-foot-5 and 275-pounds, has a high ceiling as an offensive lineman. His sophomore year was his first in football and last season he was a starter for the first time. It also helps that he practices each and every day against one of the top defensive lineman in the country in teammate Carl Lawson.

“Carl is one of best to go against and certainly the best in practice,” Fromayan said. “He’s a lot to handle. He’s shorter and gets leverage on me. But playing against him makes me better. The real games seem a little easier.”
