Arshad Jackson (Hampton, Ga./Lovejoy) is one of the region’s top tight end prospects. Over the last few weeks he has received scholarship offers from teams like Auburn, Ole Miss, Louisville and Tennessee.
“Those all came about two weeks ago and Auburn was at the very end of March,” Jackson said.
Jackson, 6-foot-6 and 230 pounds, has already visited Clemson, Vanderbilt and Georgia Tech. He was hoping to see Georgia or Auburn this weekend but instead he will stay home and take a test.
“I wanted to see one of those schools but I have the ACT this weekend,” Jackson said. “I know that I will visit Vandy once again soon.”
In fact, Vandy sits atop as one of the three programs that currently lead for Jackson.
“I really like Vandy, Auburn and Clemson,” Jackson said. “I like the atmosphere at Clemson and they are a great school for a tight end. Vandy is the smart school while I have some family that went to Auburn.”
