Some will say that Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage linebacker Michael Deeb had a rough day at Sunday's NIKE Football Training Camp in Miami, Fla., but the 6-foot-2, 238-pound junior said it was exactly what he needed.
"I know I have to improve on a lot of areas of my game," Deeb said. "Especially improving my lateral quickness and overall speed. You come to events like these to see where you are and where you want to be."
Deeb, who holds nearly a dozen offers including Penn State, Illinois and South Florida, wasn't discouraged by his day.
"I'm not upset because I put forth a strong effort and I feel like I learned a lot," he said. "I know I can get better and I'll work harder to improve."
Deeb said that he's just preparing for spring football and that he'll figure out his summer camp schedule in the next few weeks.
