Will Likely ready for Wake Forest

ESPN 300 athlete Will Likely will take his first official this weekend. The 5-foot-7, 175-pound senior will travel to Wake Forest to watch the Demon Deacons host North Carolina.

Likely said he is rebounding from a tough opening week that included a 30-9 loss to county rivals Dwyer (Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.).

"It was a tough game and we're pretty young as a team so everyone needs to get their feet wet," Likely said. "We'll rebound though, I'm going to continue to grind to we can win these games."

Despite the loss Likely knows that his recruitment will go on and he will have to take many of his official visits during the season because of his early graduation.

This is why he will be watching everything around Wake Forest very closely.

"I want to see how the people treat each other and how the coaches and players interact during the game," Likely said. "With every trip I'm really looking to see how I can fit into the program and how I can make a difference on and off the field."

Likely said that he will take officials to Stanford and LSU during the season as well but hasn't finalized dates yet. He and Wake Forest assistant Ray McCartney set up the visit last week. Likely said he doesn't have an announcement date set yet but it will most likely happen in late November or early December.
