Four-star recruit Trae Elston (Oxford, Ala./Oxford) was planning on being at the Auburn-Georgia game on Saturday but an injury nixed the trip.
“I didn’t go to the Georgia-Auburn game because I bruised my ribs on Friday night during our playoff game,” Elston said. “At least we won 65-19. I took a hit playing wide receiver. I should be OK for next week and I plan on practicing every day. I will be good. We play Mountain Brook.”
Elston said he hopes to get to Georgia this weekend when the Dawgs host Kentucky.
“I am definitely going to try,” Elston said. “I want to get up there. I like Georgia, Tennessee, Arkansas and Auburn to this point. I want to set up visits to these schools after the season.”
Elston has caught 35 passes for 600 yards and eight touchdowns on the season. He also has 50 tackles, two forced fumbles, and seven interceptions.
“I am making plays everywhere,” Elston said.
Elston, 6-foot and 180 pounds, is the No. 9 ranked safety in the country and No. 11 recruit from the state of Alabama.
