Three-star linebacker Keith Kelsey (Gainesville, Fla./Gainesville) says that South Carolina has picked up interest recently, but his first two official visits will go to Big East programs.
"I'm going to take my first official to South Florida when they play FSU on September 29," Kelsey said. "And I'm going to take an official to Louisville when they play South Florida in October."
Seeing the Bulls twice certainly lends credence to the fact that the program leads for the 6-foot-1, 215-pound senior, but he's not thinking that far ahead.
"I'm really just trying to focus on being a senior and trying to get to state with these guys," Kelsey said. "Two of my former teammates, Chris Bivins and Tashon Whitehurst, are up at USF and they are definitely talking with me about the program but I'm not making any decisions yet."
Kelsey is also keeping an eye on other programs that are interested, including their aforementioned South Carolina, Iowa State and UCF.
"Some of those programs, like Iowa State, offered and others like South Carolina and Florida are still looking at me and seeing if I could fit in," Kelsey added. "It's all a process."
Kelsey's father, Keith Kelsey Sr., was a linebacker for the Florida Gators in the mid-90s.
