Three-star linebacker Nigel Harris (Tampa, Fla./Hillsborough) was in attendance last Thursday to watch South Florida take on Rutgers.
Although the Bulls came up short, the 6-foot-1, 200-pound senior was impressed with what he saw.
"I thought they played pretty well and they probably should have won," Harris said. "They really contained Rutgers and when they tied up the game I thought they were going to take control.
"I was real happy with the way the defense played. Still a smart, aggressive group. They just needed to make another play or two."
Right now Harris has five programs that he's looking at -- South Florida, Vanderbilt, Arizona, Purdue and Wake Forest.
"That's the group right there and I think those are my five going forward," Harris added. "I'm taking an official visit to Wake Forest on November 24 when they host Vanderbilt.
"More official visits will be scheduled soon."
Harris is working towards a decision in late December or right at the beginning of the new year. He is primarily being recruited to play linebacker, although some programs might look at him as more of a safety or a hybrid.
