Victor Wharton III likes Cincinnati

Big-city life suits Victor Wharton III just fine.

The junior athlete from Nashville (Tenn.) Independence said in a text message that the city of Cincinnati seems like a good fit for him after visiting the Bearcats last weekend.

"I just love being there and their coaching staff shows me so much love," the 2014 ESPN Watch List prospect said in a text message.

On the field, Wharton also sees a good fit. He also sees a good chance for early playing time.

"I think that their offense fits my playing style really well," he stated. "It seems like they are serious when they say that I'll start as a freshman if I keep working. … The head coach told me that it's not that they want me, that they need me to be in their offense because I fit it perfectly."

Wharton III will visit Notre Dame on Nov. 3 for the Pittsburgh game and Vanderbilt on Nov. 17 for the Tennessee game.
