Will undecided Miss. prospects stay home?

The battle continues to heat up for the state of Mississippi's top prospects. Of the top 21 prospects, 10 are committed to Mississippi State and six are committed to Ole Miss. Two are committed to Southern Mississippi. Three are uncommitted. Here's a breakdown of the final trio, for whom in-state schools are battling:

S Antonio Conner -- The state's top prospect and 25th overall prospect in the nation told ESPN he is down to Alabama, Ole Miss, Mississippi State, Georgia and LSU. He already has taken visits to check out the Crimson Tide, Rebels and MSU Bulldogs. All have made strong impressions.

Trips to Ole Miss and Mississippi State are easy to make for the standout from Batesville (Miss.) South Panola. Both are a reasonable drive. Considering he hasn't visited Georgia and LSU, Conner didn't have much to say about either. That will change when his visits begin after the season.

ATH Morgan Shumpert -- The state's No. 4 prospect recently visited Mississippi State. He has taken several visits there and to nearby Ole Miss.

He also spoke highly of a visit last month to Georgia. He visited Vanderbilt this summer and said he will make a return trip. The ESPN 300 prospect from Fulton (Miss.) Itawamba is being recruited as a tailback and a defensive back, depending on the school.

S Montreal Jordan -- While Conner and Shumpert have expressed strong interest in schools outside the state, Jordan seems more likely to stay in Mississippi. His only offers are from the Rebels and the Bulldogs.
