Austin Davis' visit to Purdue wasn't sidetracked by the Boilermakers' eventual coaching change.
"I liked the trip it was a fun experience. The fans were amazing with the chants and cheers they said," the junior athlete from Louisville (Ky.) St. Xavier said. "I like how they utilize their running backs, run their offense, and I like the team chemistry.
"They are a family. The one thing that stood out to me was just how the fans filled up the stands and made an impact on the games and how the coaches went about their business to win the game."
That family will need a new leader. Purdue fired head coach Danny Hope last weekend after the Boilermakers beat Indiana to finish 6-6.
